Exadata-as-a-Service
In recent years, Exadata deployment options have expanded to meet the needs of a wide range of organizations. You no longer need to rely on CAPEX to invest in Exadata, and you don’t have to pre-purchase excess capacity you may never use.
For example, you can now run Exadata on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in small, flexible units and only pay for the capacity you actually use.
Alternatively, Exadata Cloud@Customer lets you run Oracle Cloud services in your own data center when moving your databases fully to OCI is not technically or contractually possible.

Every organization faces trade-offs between cost, simplicity, and flexibility with these options. DSP-Eclipsys sits at this intersection. Our Exadata-as-a-Service offering uses an OPEX finance model that enables organizations to:
-
Acquire the latest Exadata release as dedicated infrastructure
-
Pay for what you use and scale usage up over time
-
Keep data on-premise in your own datacentre or new co-location facilities
-
Maintain latest database and Exadata patch-sets via our Managed Services programme
-
Connect optional Cloud Services such as OCI, Azure, AWS or GCP

Exadata-as-a-Service reduces the cost of running Oracle by 46%

North America's Leading Oracle Practice
DSP-Eclipsys is a leading Enterprise Data and Cloud Platform managed service provider, specialising in Oracle, Microsoft and multi-cloud technologies. For over 25 years, we’ve helped customers manage and modernise their data platforms, including the latest Exadata-as-a-Service solutions.
Cloud Adjacent Architecture
By leveraging our gold standard partnership with Equinix, we provide secure private cages with high security access control systems across a globally interconnected exchange of datacentre locations. When combined with the Equinix Cloud Exchange, companies are empowered to transition from legacy, individual, IT centralised architecture to one that is distributed and offers complete interconnection at the edge of Cloud Service Providers to further enhance our Exadata-as-a-Service proposition.
Spread Costs, Preserve Cash Flow
Protecting cash flow and shifting from fixed to variable costs will be critical to post‑Covid recovery, especially where capital projects are delayed or on hold. By moving to an “as-a-service” OPEX model, you can modernise business‑critical infrastructure and unlock its full value, without the traditional CAPEX hit to your bottom line.
Flexible Sizing Options, Specific To You
A unique approach to this Exadata-as-a-Service proposition is the ability to only pay for what Exadata resources are being consumed rather than capitalising the full cost of infrastructure that might be significantly over-provisioned. This lowers the cost barrier of entry to adopt Exadata in the same way Exadata Cloud Service does, but with the benefit of staying on-premise on infrastructure that is dedicated to you.
Overhaul Oracle Contracts & License Terms
In some cases, you may also be eligible for a new Oracle license agreement that replaces your existing Oracle support costs. This agreement follows the same model as an Exadata-as-a-Service contract, allowing you to end qualifying legacy agreements and significantly reduce the ongoing cost of Oracle technology support required to run the service.
